British Museum Ancient Egyptian Activity Books for Your Kids and You!

British Museum

Do you enjoy coloring as much as I do (ahem, yes I am still an adult) or you have children who are not very comfortable about their parent being Egyptoholic and you want to show them that ancient Egyptian history can be fun? The British Museum has published a few books that were designed just for that. Let me share a few with you...

Coloring Book of Ancient Egypt

Colouring book of ancient Egypt
This book has 48 pages, full of wonderful pictures to color, all about ancient Egypt. Pharaohs, mummies, Egyptian families, queens, Hieroglyphics, scenes from ancient Egypt's farming experience, etc.

This was made directly by the illustrators of the British museum! It was designed for children under 12, however, it could be much fun for older guys (30 and older) to color.

Ancient Egypt Sticker Book

Ancient Egyptian Stickers
This sticker book has over 150 stickers of pharaohs, mummies, hieroglyphics, ancient Egyptian life scenes etc.

The book also has themed pages that could be filled with those stickers. They also have descriptions so you or your kids can know what these objects are and what they are there for.

These stickers are peeable, you can carefully remove them and re-create the scenes over and over.

Ancient Egyptian Activity Books

Pyramid Activity Book
Activities, puzzles, maps and more in this die-cut to the shape of Khufu Pyramid.
This book is available at the British Museum website for only 3.99 British Pounds (6.45 US Dollars).

"Fun Book, Ancient Egypt"
Despite its silly name, this book is said to be nice, full of jokes, puzzles etc, I honestly never felt intrigued to buy it, but it gets some good feedback, so you might want to check it out. It is still cheap (2.99 Pounds / 4.80 Dollars)

As you see, these books will be shipped directly from the British Museum in London, which means I am not sure how much the shipping costs will be like outside Europe, but they will depend on your location and they are really worth a look.

Stick around for more books and souvenirs published and made by the British Museum.

Now, let's move away from the British Museum for now and wonder around some ancient Egyptian related activities for your kids...
